Unlike standard text or delay nodes that fire sequentially, Smart Nodes are condition-based gates. They actively pause your automation flow and communicate with the Meta API in real-time. The flow will only resume after the user successfully completes the required action, guaranteeing you get the exact conversion you are targeting.

1. Grow Followers (Follow Gate)

The Follow Gate is one of the most powerful tools for organic growth. Instead of just asking someone to follow you, this node enforces it.

How it works

  1. When a user reaches this node, the flow pauses and sends your custom gate message (e.g., “This exclusive guide is for followers only! Follow the page to unlock the link.”).
  2. DMRocket actively polls the Instagram API to check the user’s relationship status with your account.
  3. Once the API confirms the user has followed your page, the automation instantly resumes and delivers the next message in your sequence.
If the user is already following you when they trigger the automation, DMRocket detects this instantly and skips the gate, seamlessly delivering the next message without friction.

2. Smart Email Capture

Standard lead forms simply ask a user to type their email, but they don’t prevent fake or typo-filled responses. The Smart Email Capture node acts as a strict validator.

How it works

  1. The flow pauses and prompts the user for their email address.
  2. If the user replies with invalid text (e.g., “no thanks” or “user@gmail”), the node will not let them pass.
  3. Once a valid email format is detected, DMRocket securely saves the data to your Leads Dashboard (accessible via the API or CSV export) and immediately triggers the next step of your flow.
Best Practice: Always deliver your highest-value lead magnet (like a free course, discount code, or template) immediately in the node following a Smart Email Capture.

3. Broadcast Opt-In (Meta Compliant)

If you want to send mass promotional DMs to your audience later (like a newsletter or product drop), Meta’s strict anti-spam policies require you to get explicit permission first. The Broadcast Opt-In node handles this legally and safely.

How it works

This node does not send a standard text bubble. Instead, it sends a highly specialized, Meta-approved UI component directly into the chat.
  1. You configure an Opt-In Title (Maximum 65 characters, e.g., “Want to know when we restock?”).
  2. The user sees a native Instagram “Get Messages” button.
  3. When they click it, Instagram securely logs their consent.
The 6-Month Rule: Once a user clicks “Get Messages”, you are legally allowed to send them promotional mass DMs on that specific topic at any time within the next 6 months. Failing to use this node before broadcasting can result in permanent account bans from Meta.
